INDEPENDENT council candidate Cheryl Butcher had a shock when she read last week’s election round-up in the Gazette.

For next to her election address was a picture of her mother-in-law!

We’d like to apologise to both women and put the record straight.

Cheryl Butcher is contesting the Pyle seat. Her mother-in-law, Megan Butcher, is aiming for success as an independent in Cornelly. Both women were formerly Labour councillors.
