Father banned for drink-driving

A FATHER-OF-THREE was caught drink-driving by the police.

John Andrew Naisbitt, aged 42, of Cwm Felin, Blackmill, admitted having 53mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Nia James, prosecuting, told Bridgend magistrates said police saw Naisbitt’s vehicle wavering slightly on the A4061 in Blackmill.

Darren Williams, defending, said a ban would cause Naisbitt problems with his job, which involves him working in Devon.

“Now he’s lost his character and potentially his livelihood,” said Mr Williams.

Naisbitt was banned for 12 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
