Hospital staff go back in time
HEALTH staff turned back the clock by donning Edwardian costume to celebrate a hospital’s centenary.
The formal dress from the early 1900s is part of the week-long festivities organised at Cardiff’s Whitchurch Hospital which is marking its 100th year of providing mental health care.
Exhibitions, historical displays and fund-raising events have been organised to celebrate the event being held before the old hospital closes in three years’ time.
It will be replaced by a new £70m hospital to be developed in the grounds and completed in 2011.
