TEACHERS working to gain chartered status had the chance to interview headteachers at Trinity College, Carmarthen.
The self-evaluation and reflection module is part of the chartered teacher pilot programme, which aims to give teachers in the middle of their careers the chance to prove they have reached a certain level of experience.
During this module, teachers were shown the importance of personal development and how it impacts on pupils’ learning.
There was also a focus on what makes a good leader.
Lucy Cowley, a primary school teacher at Neyland Community School, Pembrokeshire, said: “The interviews with headteachers were a more practical and digestible way of learning.”
