YOUNGSTERS from Wales and France are teaming up to take on a challenge of building bridges from everyday materials such as string, straws, bricks and paperclips.

Teams of GCSE students from Croesyceiliog Comprehensive School and Fairwater High School in Cwmbran were joined by French students, who were on an exchange visit, to compete in an Engineering Team Challenge organised by the University of Wales, Newport, in partnership with international engineering consultancy Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB).
