Mums and tots walk their way to £400

MUMS took their babies on a walk around a city park and raised £400 for a family centre.

The mothers, who attend Treganna Family Centre in Canton, have formed a fundraising group called Mums on a Mission (MAM).

Their walk around Llandaff fields and Bute Park in Cardiff, helped raise £400 for the centre.

Manager Julia Vernon said: “The sponsored walk went really well. The parents wrapped themselves and their babies up really went against the cold and walked around Llandaff fields and the castle. We have another week until all sponsor money will be in but the parents have raised in excess of £400.

“We are very grateful for their support.”
