A DECISION on whether to write off an £86,000 interest-free loan to the YMCA in Barry has been deferred by Vale council leaders.
The Hub, in Court Road, Barry, was built with £1,202,176 funding from the Vale council and the Assembly Government, of which £86,748 was an interest-free loan by the council.
The YMCA has been unable to pay back the cash and Vale council finance director Sian Davies recommended granting it £86,748 to replace the loan.
