Crackdown on parking starts

A CRACKDOWN on illegal parking was being launched today.
Illegal parking in Barry, particularly the Court ward, is one of the main complaints by residents.
Police were today distributing specially- prepared posters to shops, post offices and other public places aimed at reminding motorists about the law concerning parking.
A police spokesman said: “Motorists all know that parking on double-yellow lines and on zigzags is illegal.
“Drivers committing such an offence are causing a criminal obstruction, nuisance or even criminal damage.”
