Battle for cinema

CAMPAIGNERS battling to save Barry’s historic Theatre Royal cinema from closure formed a “chain of hope” around the building at the weekend.

More than 8,000 people have signed a petition opposing the closure in April. Bob Armstrong, of the Save Our Cinema Association said: “This is the last cinema in Barry and one of the last independent cinemas in the country.”
