A MOBILITY scooter which was stolen from an 85-year-old man has been found.
The scooter, which is an indispensable aid for its owner Patrick Cross, was stolen from outside his flat at Gwenog Court, Barry earlier this month.
Luckily, the scooter was now been found in a nearby park close to the North Walk communal flats and is still in good condition.
Without the silver -coloured ‘Mini-four’ mobility scooter Mr Cross was unable to get out and about.
Pc Chris Thompson said: “A concerned member of the public who read about an appeal for the scooter earlier in the week identified the vehicle from the description given and contacted the Barry Neighbourhood Policing Team.”
Mr Cross said: “I am so pleased that the police have brought back my scooter as it is an essential item for my day-to-day life. I would also like to thank the individual who called the police about the matter.”
