A SIX-WEEK public consultation on a major blueprint for the future development of the Vale of Glamorgan begins today.
People throughout the Vale will be asked for their views on the Vale council’s Local Development Plan, which will help shape what the area will look like from 2011 to 2026.
The LDP will allocate sites for the future development of land within the Vale and establish policies against which future development proposals will be assessed.
Full details of the consultation, including background documents, a questionnaire, locations and details of where and when public displays will be held are available at www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
Meanwhile, residents and businesses in Rhoose, Porthkerry, Llantrithyd and Llancadle are being invited to share their thoughts on their conservation areas.
The views are being sought by the Vale council as part of a review of the areas of special architectural and historic interest.
The council is currently taking a fresh look at 20 of the 38 conservation areas in the county to update information and assess if boundaries might need to be altered.
Questionnaires will be delivered to all properties within the areas, but the views of other local residents and businesses outside the conservation areas are welcomed.
