Course for parents to spot drug issues

PARENTS who fear their children could get hooked on drugs are being offered a lifeline by a national charity.

Tomorrow, in Caerphilly, parents are invited to a free short introduction to a six-week course, “how to drug-proof your kids” run by Taffs Well-based Care for the Family.

Run by a professional trainer, the course covers many aspects of parenting, drug awareness and how to cope if your child becomes involved in substance misuse.

Roger Crookes, 47, a leader at Caerphilly’s Gateway Church, which is hosting the course, said: “This course is for parents who want to guard their kids from the terrible snare of drug abuse.”

The introductory course is at the Twyn Community Centre at 7.30pm.
