POLICE are warning the public and businesses to be on the look out for counterfeit £20 notes which have been circulating recently.
A number of “high quality” dud notes have been handed in to police in Bargoed over the past few days.
Officers say people should check any £20 note being passed on to them and check the texture of the paper and watermark.
Alternatively any business which has a pen which detects counterfeit notes or an ultra violet scanner should use it.
The pens are available in the Gwent area from Pc Brent Isaac on 01443 865560.
