CONFUSED residents in Caerphilly have been told why materials they carefully separate for recycling go into one refuse lorry with ordinary rubbish.
A council spokesman said: “The best way to collect recyclable material is to use the normal refuse collection vehicles, which have a bigger capacity.”
But he said while normal waste is land-filled, recyclable materials, which residents separate into green boxes, go to a recovery plant for recycling.
