Cuthbert happy to shadow the police

CAERPHILLY AM Jeff Cuthbert has received a certificate from Gwent Police for taking part in a scheme to increase politicians’ understanding of officers’ core responsibilities.

The scheme being run by Gwent Police involves politicians shadowing policemen and women on duties such as neighbourhood or roads policing.

Mr Cuthbert spent 14 sessions over a 12-month period with members of the force covering early-morning, afternoon, evening and night shifts.
