ONLY the heroics of goalkeeper Lee Idzi saved Haverfordwest from a heavier defeat at Plaskynaston, the hosts ending a better than usual campaign with a deserved victory.

While Druids finish 12th, Haverfordwest, who looked to be in the relegation mix last autumn, have ended a commendable eighth.

Experienced campaigner Chris McGinn was the home hero, fastening onto a misguided Simon Gilderdale back pass to net in the 44th minute.
