Seventh heaven for McKenna

TNS 7-1 Llangefni

SAINTS boss Ken McKenna, who announced this week that he is to leave the champions at the end of the season, looked on in admiration as his charges gave lowly Llangefni a seven-goal drubbing.

And McKenna had even more reason to smile as recent recruit Kevin Townson smashed four goals to take his tally to five in three appearances.

Saints are now level on points with leaders Llanelli and the goal difference deficit has dwindled to just three with the sides still to meet in league combat.

Paul Henry, Jamie Wood, Townson and a Geraint Mitchell own goal gave the hosts a 4-0 interval lead, Townson adding three more after the break. Craig Hogg (90) netted for the visitors, the only moment McKenna showed displeasure.
