Boss Beadle predicts nervy County climax

NEWPORT COUNTY boss Peter Beadle insists their play-off bid will go down to the wire as they travel to Cambridge City tonight (7.45pm).

County’s Blue Square Conference South play-off ambitions will be decided at home with their last three fixtures against second-placed Eastbourne, mid-table Thurrock and fifth-placed Fisher Athletic all being at Spytty Park.

“We need to sign off our away campaign with a win to set up our home challenge,” said Beadle.
