“C’MON the Bluebirds!” – that is the message today from First Minster Rhodri Morgan.
Mr Morgan said: “Like every other Cardiff City fan, I’m very much looking forward to tomorrow for what will surely be an absolutely fantastic occasion. It is a massive achievement for Cardiff City to have reached the final. It will be the greatest day in the club’s history since the famous victory over Arsenal in 1927.
“The 30,000 plus Cardiff City fans gave the semi-final against Barnsley a great atmosphere by singing their hearts out and doing the Ayatollah throughout the game. I’m sure they’ll do the same again to be the extra player every team needs in the final.
He added: “I have never known a period as rich as this for so many different sports in Wales – our cup overfloweth!”
