Battling Nomads hold Wingmen

HONOURS were even at Broughton last night, a result that benefits Nomads’ relegation survival hopes and keeps the Wingmakers’ record-breaking season on track.

Airbus have never beaten the north Wales coast side in four attempts on home soil but James McIntosh had a good opportunity late on to break their duck only to head wide when well placed.

The first half saw lots of endeavour but little creativity, but the home side were the dominant force after the break and the best chances fell in their favour.

However, they failed to convert any and it could have been costly as visitors’ midfielder Craig Jones nearly punished them, but his goal-bound effort was tipped over the bar by Chris Doran.
