How Wales rated
Lewis Price
Hard to judge the Derby man on a first-half in which he was rarely tested. Looked reliable enough before being replaced by debutant Boaz Myhill. 6
Neal Eardley
After a relatively quiet first half the Oldham youngster did well to push forwards more after the break. Looked good defensively before being replaced. 6
Lewin Nyatanga
A typically solid showing from the big centre back. Fairly quiet game but was denied his first international goal by the offside flag. 6
Ashley Williams
The Cardiff and Swansea target didn’t look at all out of place. Lucky to avoid an embarrassing own-goal in the last ten minutes though. 7
Craig Morgan
Won’t have many easier nights. Was rarely troubled and the only moment of note in his second half was the yellow card for a foul on Mario Mutsch. 6
Sam Ricketts
Nothing spectacular from the wing back but in fairness, he didn’t really put a foot wrong either. Provides John Toshack with a useful option. 6
Carl Fletcher
Used his experience well to protect the back three. Not the most glamorous performance but he gave Wales a solid platform to push forwards. 6
Simon Davies
Spent a lot of the first half on back foot but was more influential after the break. Topped a decent 50th cap with a lovely cut-back for Eastwood’s second. 7
Jason Koumas
Pulled the strings after half-time though as Wales finally got the benefit of a rare away appearance from the mercurial midfielder. 7
Jermaine Easter
Ran tirelessly to try and get on the ball but his first-half frustration boiled over into some rash tackles. Was replaced by Owain Tudur Jones. 6
Freddy Eastwood
Showed Mick McCarthy exactly why he should be playing more often at Wolves. Did his job when asked to play lone role. 8
Substitutes: Myhill (for Price 46), Tudor Jones (for Easter 46), Duffy (for Eardley 64), Cotterill (for Fletcher 74), Nardiello (for Koumas 84)
