“I’VE followed Wales home and away for more than 30 years, so when it comes to games like this, the result isn’t the be-all and end-all.

We’ve had a great time, and it was good to see us get another win. Romania beat Luxembourg only 2-0 last year, and Luxembourg beat Belarus, so we haven’t exactly shamed ourselves.

For a weakened side, I thought we did OK.

Jermaine Easter looked alert up front, but Freddy Eastwood showed just why he should be starting for Wolves every week.

He was useless for 35 minutes, the one goal, and he’s the man.

I know Tosh keeps saying it, but it’s true – once we get our key men back, we will give any side a run for their money.

And what about our Under-21s? That was a superb win in Bosnia, and qualification for Euro 2009 is all in our own hands.”
