Caernarfon 0-3 Airbus
ONE goal by Danny Desormeaux just before half-time and two from James McIntosh in the closing quarter provided Airbus with their customary win at Caernarfon.
The Wingmakers have visited The Oval four times and won the lot, without the home side even scoring a goal.
The Canaries had their chances to break their duck but the finishing was sub-standard and most offerings were either snatched at or were badly directed.
James Thomas figured in several situations, notably on 15 minutes when he fired strongly but straight from 25 yards at keeper Chris Doran, and on 52, dragging a free-kick off target.
Centre-back Teddy Whelan headed wide from a corner on 56 and Bobby Jones slammed an edge-of-box shot a couple of yards on the wrong side of a post on 60.
Airbus produced the efforts that mattered when Desormeaux swept a 10-yarder beyond home keeper Michael Jago, following Matty Woodward’s free-kick on the right.
McIntosh’s double, timed at 69 and 86 minutes, were similar finishes from just inside the penalty box, as Caernarfon’s suspect defence offered generous space.
