Bluenose cleans up

RANGERS fan Ian McLean has vowed to do housework for a year – after his wife spent £600 of her savings on a Uefa Cup final ticket for him.

The 33-year-old feared he would miss out on the game against Zenit St Petersburg, but didn’t account for his other half, Bev, surprising him.

Now Ian, from Glenrothes, faces a year of cleaning-up after his four children and getting to grips with the dishwasher and dusters.

“I really, really hate ironing, but I’ll be glad to do it all for a year, just to have one special night watching Rangers,” he said. “Bev is one in a million and I owe her big time. I can’t believe I’m going to the game.”
