Cardiff City skipper Purse given Wembley reprieve
CARDIFF CITY captain Darren Purse has been cleared to play in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
A Football Association of Wales disciplinary panel has overturned the red card Purse was shown in City's 3-3 Championship draw at Burnley.
Purse was sent off in injury time for a high tackle on former England striker Andy Cole.
The FAW decision means Purse is available for City's last game of the season at home to Barnsley on Saturday and for the Wembley showpiece against Portsmouth on May 17.
