Welcome to this months edition of the expats newsletter.
On my usual lunchtime jaunt around the city centre I could help but notice the odd Australian accent here and there. Yep, the rugby fans are back in town, which marks the beginning of the Autumn International series! Whether or not you are a fan of the oval game (and I know most of you are!), it’s just great to be amidst the fantastic atmosphere that is generated when there’s a big game in town.
So, without further ado here's the latest news from in and around your old backyard.
This month: What Wales expects from the forcoming Autumn series… icWales enjoys a boom time, and old battles reignite over shared ground plans.
Also, it’s the end of the line for the famous Morgan family, towns fight it out for the right to twin with Timbuktu, and how the world famous reworked Bread of Heaven is just a 'sloppy' sop of a great hymn.
Finally, 40 years on we take time to reflect on the biggest disaster in Welsh history - Aberfan….
So until next month take care, enjoy the expats newsletter and for the latest in global expats events take a look at Carwyn's list.
Don't forget to check out the Expats Changing Wales and Expats Nostalgia sections for regular updates on what's going on.
Keep those articles and stories coming in, let me know what you've been getting up to. You can send them to me at mike.caluan@wme.co.uk
