Welcome to this months edition of the expats newsletter.

We’re on the move… It’s been announced that Thomson House - the home of the Western Mail, South Wales Echo, Wales on Sunday and your friendly web team is to make way for our new and exciting home, a top-notch luxury hotel and swanky new private apartments.

As I’ve been telling you for months, Cardiff is in a real state of flux - even our historic offices haven’t escaped the onslaught of commercial inner-city redevelopment!

You’ll remember in last month’s newsletter we talked about the latest changes here at icWales. Well just to keep you abreast of the latest developments... here’s an update.

If you or your family and friends are planning a trip to Wales in the near future and are in need of a spot of casual work, or something more permanent take a look at the all-new icJobs and Book An Ad sites.

To paraphrase Lord Kitchener, icWales needs you! How would you like to share a little of your world with the rest of icWales? Become a blogger on our new blogs channel and you can do just that.

So, without further ado here's the latest news from in and around your old backyard.

This month: The Taffia raise a fantastic $620 dollars for the Children’s Hospital for Wales, Glamorgan cricket ground gets a makeover and a Grand Slam hero who crossed the divide has died at age 83.

In the month that sees the demise of the iconic BBC music programme, we look at what made Top Of The Pops great. And as the temperatures look to reach record highs, we lick our lips in anticipation of the best food festivals and events to keep you outdoors and enjoying the sunshine.

Also, we look at how Wales is the most beguiling part of the British Isles and whilst your pondering that poser why not take a peek at our what's on guide to a summer of music and mayhem.

So until next month take care, enjoy the expats newsletter.

Don't forget to check out the Expats Changing Wales and Expats Nostalgia sections for regular updates on what's going on.

Keep those articles and stories coming in, let me know what you've been getting up to. You can send them to me at mike.caluan@wme.co.uk
