Cultivating new rural relationships

BARCLAYS Commercial Banking has appointed 26-year-old Daniel Downes agricultural relationship manager for West Wales.

Dan, a farmer’s son from Llangeitho, Tregaron, will be responsible for managing a portfolio of farming and rural business customers, identifying new business opportunities across the region.

He was previously business development manager for NFU Cymru, and is vice chairman of Ceredigion YFC, and Wales YFC’s rural affairs board.
