Morgan White hot on Springs

IT was Blackwood angler Matthew Morgan’s turn to win in the midweek match at White Springs.

He caught 47lb 6oz from the Old Canal to hold off Nick Williams with 36lb and third man Nigel Morris who weighed in 30lb 11oz.

The small carp fed well for the Iffers AC match at Redhill Fishery, Monmouth where Darren Saunders was the winner with 75lb 10oz.

Runner-up Andy Prosser put 70lb 5oz on the scales while Bob Williams came in third with 57lb.

John Harvey, from Risca, helped to cover the cost of his holiday at Cornwall’s White Acre Lakes by catching 57lb 10oz of carp and finishing in fourth place in the weekly residents match.
