Firm puts its faith and £5m in Heads of Valleys

A CARDIFF-BASED commercial property developer is investing £5m in four separate projects in the Heads of the Valleys.

The Latham, Latham & Jones partnership has acquired a commercial property in Merthyr, whilst its linked partner Latham Properties has also acquired commercial properties in Merthyr and Ebbw Vale as well as building a select residential development in Rhymney’s conservation area.

The company specialises in the total refurbishment and refitting of disused and often dilapidated commercial buildings. Two of these projects are nearing completion and partner Geoffrey Latham said they were already generating interest.

He added, “The Heads of the Valleys region is becoming an increasingly attractive business proposition with a lot of potential and offering firm prospects…”

Latham, Latham & Jones is currently transforming Ty Penderyn in the centre of Merthyr into a cafe bar and offices whilst Latham Properties is refurbishing Access 465 to provide flexible office space totalling 10,500 sq ft at the Ebbw Vale junction of the Heads of the Valleys road. Both are due to be completed in the spring.
