THE Wales Millennium Centre has struck a recruitment and training agreement with Acorn.
The agreement sees Acorn of Newport become a provider of recruitment and training services to WMC and the latest corporate member of the iconic complex.
WMC signed the business partnership deal with Acorn, after discussions which began last year.
Established in Newport in 1992, Acorn has grown to become Wales’ largest recruitment and training provider, with branches across Wales, the South West of England, northern England and Scotland.
Acorn marketing and communications director Dan Langford said, “This is a partnership of two leading Welsh organisations.
“Acorn has long been a supporter of charities, communities, education and sport in Wales.
“We are therefore delighted to extend our commitment into the arts for the first time, by becoming a corporate member of the WMC.”
WMC chief executive Judith Isherwood added, “We’re delighted that Acorn has chosen to work in partnership with the centre, yet another leading Welsh brand that has seen the benefit of associating itself with one of the world’s premier arts institutions, and we very much welcome them on board.”
