Marketing co-ordinator qualifies for role at City & Guilds
CITY & GUILDS has appointed a new sales and marketing co-ordinator.
Annie Jarman, 26, joins City & Guilds in Cardiff with more than three years’ experience of working in sales and marketing.
She has a degree in English literature from Cardiff University and an MSc in marketing from the University of Glamorgan.
Ms Jarman spent more than a year working as marketing co-ordinator for publishing house Taylor and Francis in Oxford where she was responsible for the marketing of education publications from the UK and the US. She said, “This is an exciting time for City & Guilds, and I am pleased to join a well established and reputable organisation with such a strong brand.
“This new position will provide a fantastic opportunity to work on fresh and exciting marketing and PR campaigns, which will really put City & Guilds on the map.”
At City & Guilds, she will be responsible for the co-ordination of all PR and marketing activity for the awarding body as well as for events organisation. Her role will also involve sales support and account management of new City & Guilds centres.
Barclays commercial team director appointed
CLIFF JONES has joined Barclays as commercial banking relationship director for the Cardiff and South East Wales commercial banking team.
Mr Jones will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and developing new business opportunities across South Wales.
He has worked for Barclays for more than 30 years, mostly in commercial banking, having previously spent the last six years as corporate director for Barclays in Bristol.
Mr Jones said, “Meeting with customers to discuss their business and gain an understanding of their individual requirements will ensure that we can provide customers with innovative and bespoke financial services which make a real difference to their business.”
